Frequently Asked Questions
What makes you different as a neurodiversity speaker?
Many neurodiversity talks either focus on personal stories or high-level awareness. My approach is different. Having led neurodiversity initiatives inside a global organisation, I’ve seen firsthand what supports people in their daily work and what doesn’t. My keynotes and workshops focus on sharing practical actions that are grounded in workplace realities.
What aspects of neurodiversity in the workplace do you cover?
I cover topics such as understanding different communication and collaboration styles, supporting sensory sensitivities in the workplace, building psychological safety, and how managers can better support neurodivergent colleagues.
Do you speak internationally?
Yes. I have spoken at conferences and events worldwide, from Europe to the Middle East and Asia. Having spent most of my career working in international environments, I understand how to engage audiences across different cultures and regions.
What languages do you deliver your talks in?
As a bilingual English-Dutch speaker, I deliver keynotes and workshops fluently in both languages.
Do you also deliver virtual keynotes?
Yes, it’s a very common delivery format for global organisations. Virtual keynotes include the same level of customisation and preparation as in-person engagements. Your participants also receive the digital Neuroinclusion Pocket Guide afterwards, helping them put into practice what they have learned.
When is the best time of year to book a neurodiversity speaker?
Neurodiversity is relevant all year round. Many organisations choose to host talks around key moments such as Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Autism Acceptance Month, or the International Day for Persons with Disabilities. In my experience, these initiatives have the biggest impact when they are part of a wider, ongoing commitment to inclusion. I’m available for speaking engagements throughout the year.
What are your fees as a speaker?
My fees vary depending on the event format, location, duration, and level of customisation required. After an initial conversation about your goals and audience, you will receive a tailored proposal.
How do I book you for an event?
You can get in touch through the contact page of this website or email me directly at info@tristanlavender.com. I usually respond within one working day.
If you need a faster reply, you can also reach me via WhatsApp at +31 613299199.
